Aims and Scope

Objectives of the magazine

  1. Publication of the results of assessment and evaluation of science and technology in the country to play a role in the national movement towards gaining the top rank of science and technology in the region and achieving a suitable position in the world;
  2. Helping to strengthen the scientific potential of the country's scientometrics specialists and providing the necessary bases for turning them into prominent researchers in the field of scientometrics;
  3. Developing the cognition of the scientometrics basics and trying to explain maps, functions, relationships, and concepts related to scientometrics, in order to expand the scope of knowledge in this field;
  4. Development of Iranian scientometrics specialists' knowledge and researchers regarding the views of prominent scientometrics experts and researchers and the latest developments, models, and methods of measuring and evaluating science and technology;
  5. Dissemination of theories, methods, and achievements of scientometrics researchers in the country at the national level, to use it in applied scientometric studies and train scientometrics specialists in universities conducting this field;
  6. Publication of the results of studies related to identifying the necessities of forming a national coalition for measuring and evaluating science and technology and its application to solve the problems of the country;
  7. Publication of the results of studies related to the identification of key actors in the field of assessment and evaluation of science and technology in the country, based on the missions and functions of the country's organizations;
  8. Publication of the results of studies related to the identification of dimensions and areas of measurement and evaluation of science and technology available at the national level;
  9. Publication of the results of studies related to the research productivity of scientists, universities and institutes, journals and other factors of science production in the country;
  10. Publication of the results of studies that develop indicators and criteria for measuring and evaluating science and technology in the country;

Scope of Accepting articles in the journal

  1. Explain the laws in the upstream documents of the country regarding the measurement and evaluation of science and technology;
