Professor Abdolreza Noroozi Chakoli is a professor in the Department of Information Science and Knowledge Studies at Shahed University, a pioneer in the field of scientometrics in Iran, and a member of the Board of Trustees at Shahed University.
The first Master's Syllabus in Scientometrics, which has been implemented in reputable Iran's universities since 2011, was developed by him and submitted to the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
Due to his expertise in scientometrics, his membership in the Scientific Journals Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and his long-standing management of the Department of Information Science and Knowledge Studies at SAMT (Organization for the Study and Compilation of University Textbooks in Humanities), Professor Noroozi Chakoli has consistently played a significant role in the development of specialized books in the field of information science and knowledge studies, as well as scientific journals in Iran.
Furthermore, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors of the Iranian Library and Information Science Association, he has also had effective collaborations with international scientific communities. Notable among these is his role as a founding member of the International Library and Information Science Society (I-LISS) and as the Iran Regional Chapter Vice President within this international society.
In terms of scientific dissemination, in addition to publishing over 120 articles in reputable national and international journals and conferences, and executing more than 23 major and needs-driven national projects, he has also published several textbooks and academic books. These books are introduced as references in the curricula of Information Science and Knowledge Studies and Scientometrics at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, and are taught in prestigious Iran universities.
Moreover, alongside his continuous scientific and executive responsibilities, he has received numerous national and international honors and awards in his specialized field. The most important of these include:
- Being named the top researcher in Human Sciences in Iran in 2011, at the 12th National Festival for Honoring Top Researchers and Technologists.
- Receiving the title of distinguished researcher at the 7th Farabi International Festival on February 1, 2015.
- Winning the International Award for Best Library and Information Science Article of 2020, at the International Festival for Selecting Top Articles of 2020 by the International Library and Information Science Society (I-LISS).
